Spicy Lentil Soup

This is a delicious soup which is quick and easy to prepare. It makes a perfect winter’s lunch. Lentils are a great source of fibre which can help keep you fuller for longer.




  1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over a medium heat. Add the onion, carrot, and celery and cook over a medium heat for 5 minutes until softened. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
  2. Add the lentils and harissa paste and mix until they are coated with the paste.
  3. Add the tomatoes, stock pot, and boiling water and simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Blend the soup using a hand blender and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Serve with a sprinkling of crushed chilli flakes
